As you can imagine, it’s been crazy around here since our kids playhouses were featured on TLC’s TV show Jon & Kate + 8. The entire team has been working in 12-hour shifts for the past 4 days to stay on top of the inquiries.

I certainly never thought I’d get a call from US Magazine. Do you think they’re looking for a “Best Beach Bods” cover model?

Seriously, though, I’ve always admired Sam Walton, founder of Walmart, who built his empire based on a single principle: “Everyone gets a call back the day they contacted you.” Do our newfound fans deserve any less? I think not. I am a firm believer that our customer service level needs to match the quality of our product. It is our secret to success (sshhhh…..). Sitting here in sleepy Windham, Maine, and getting hundreds of emails from people all over the world – I can’t describe how cool that is. Many of the emailers don’t even have kids but wanted to tip their hat to our Crooked designs. That really feels great. A special thanks to all of you.

But, the show must go on … again. Right now, just as things are crazier than they’ve ever been, we’re scrambling to get an amazing design together for Extreme Home Makeover Home Edition. My family has been a huge fan of the show for years, so when I found myself in the position to help I jumped at it. For those of you out there that actually know me, you realize that Ty Pennington and I have several things in common… ADHD and a rebellious childhood being just a couple (not sure if he’s also a big Packers fan). Having the chance to work with Ty while helping a family in need is truly an honor.

I’ll be on location next week and do my best to post any info I can.
