Hey folks - we're building up our press list as we speak, but if you happen to want to pass along the below press release to your local paper/favorite blogger, etc., we certainly wouldn't mind. You never know who might give us some great press and spread the word about living and playing Crooked.
Kids Crooked House to launch new Adventure Series
Active Play pioneers expand into to Crooked playgrounds, swing sets
WINDHAM, Maine—Kids Crooked House (www.kidscrookedhouse.com), the makers of the most-recognized and lauded playhouses in the world, are ready to unveil their next foray into getting kids outside, using their imagination and engaging in active play: Kids Crooked Swing Set, part of KCH’s new Adventure Series. Built with the same made-in-Maine durability and craftsmanship as the company’s award-winning playhouses, these wooden playgrounds and swing sets have the same whimsical design that KCH imagineer Glen Halliday has used to thrill kids all over the world.
“We have gotten many requests from fans to develop this line. Besides, my kids have been begging me for a swing set,” Halliday said. “It’s taken a lot time and research to develop a new product that falls within the Crooked family, with safety as our first concern. We are happy with the results, and so are my kids.” As with the genesis of the first Crooked House, Halliday has used his own backyard as a testing lab.
Built with rock-solid white cedar and 100 percent recyclable materials, these wooden Kids Crooked Swing sets are built to last forever and to be completely earth friendly. As with the playhouses, the new Adventure Series’ funky angles and whimsical style are sure to get kids outdoors and active.
“Whatever we can do to get kids outside, playing, and using their imagination, we’re going to do it,” said Halliday. “These wooden playgrounds and swing sets are affordable and built for maximum use. Generations of kids could enjoy these and we hope they do.”
These Crooked Swing Sets will retail for $3695, but are being offered right now for an introductory price of $2995.

About Kids Crooked House
Based in Windham, Maine, Kids Crooked House was founded by fun-loving dads Glen Halliday and Jeff Leighton, who couldn't find a unique, affordable and imaginative playhouse for their young kids. They looked in all the big home centers and scoured dozens of web sites. The products either looked like a tool shed for lawnmowers or like a small city with a price to match. For the graphic designer and carpenter/electrician, the answer was simple: Build one of their own. The entire neighborhood was soon hanging out in Glen's back yard. So FUNky was his kid's new crooked house, the rest is (becoming) history. For more information about Kids Crooked House, visit www.kidscrookedhouse.com.
